The acting categories were as predicted. Cate Blanchett, of course, was a sure thing the moment Blue Jasmine screened in cinemas. Matthew `Alright, Alright, Alright!` McConaughey is now an Oscar winner (now it`s okay to not be ashamed when we dust off our DVDs of 10 Things I Hate About You and Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past, right?). Lupita Nyong`o won for her heartbreaking turn as Patsey in 12 Years A Slave, and Jared Leto for his heartbreaking turn in Dallas Buyers Club.
