Jackie Chan`s POLICE STORY 2013 tops X`Mas Box Office Chart

Despite strong competition from Hollywood blockbusters such as 47 Ronin and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Police Story 2013 stormed to the top of the local box office chart and looks set to gross a total of SGD$3 million at the end of its run.

Police Story 2013 is the latest installment under the successful ‘Police Story` action-drama franchise. The last installment was New Police Story in 2004. Not in relation to its predecessor, Jackie Chan plays a Chinese police officer who`s taken hostage together with the rest of the patrons inside a nightclub in Police Story 2013. The movie also stars well-known Chinese actor Liu Ye and is directed by Ding Sheng.

Police Story 2013 is co-distributed by Clover Films and Golden Village Pictures in Singapore.

POLICE STORY 2013 TOPS THE BOX OFFICE CHART OVER THE FESTIVE WEEKEND!

Singapore 30 December 2013 Jackie Chan latest blockbuster POLICE STORY 2013 has taken the #1 spot at the local box office over the festive weekend! The movie collected a stunning SGD$ 800,000 from 26th to 29th December, on 35 screens island-wide, beating Hollywood blockbusters such as THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY and 47 RONIN.

Including the box office figures collected over the Christmas holidays (24th and 25th December), POLICE STORY 2013 has accumulated an amazing $1.43million as of 29th December. This puts the movie on the #4 spot in 2013 TOP 10 ASIAN MOVIES CHART.

POLICE STORY 2013 looks set to gross a total of $3million at the end of its run, taking the #2 spot in the 2013 TOP 10 MOVIES CHART.
