Basically covering three storylines that struggle to overlap, Disconnect centres on the dehumanisation that comes with the anonymity of the Internet: an unscrupulous news reporter (Riseborough) gains the trust of a naive webcam model (Max Thierot); a pair of school bullies create a fake online identity to torment their victim (Jonah Bobo); and a grieving couple become the victim of online credit card theft when they`re at their emotional lowest.
