The year`s 2022 in the good old U.S. of A. and those crazy Americans have decided on a new piece of legislation: for one night every year, all crimes are legal and anything goes. That`s right, folks, if you want to inject cows with Ebola, beat up babies, or taser grannies on the street, it`s all good with the government!
As the twelve hours of anarchy approaches, we`re introduced to James Sandin (Hawke), his wife Mary (Headey), and their two kids Zoey (Kane) and Charlie (Burkholder), as they batten down the hatches to protect themselves from the annual onslaught. This time though, Charlie ends up taking pity on a fleeing African American guy (Edwin Hodge), and lets down the shuttersâ€
