According to Abrams, the action and scale of the film are “light-years” beyond what was accomplished by its predecessor.
Zoe Saldana, who plays the sassy, capable Uhura, chimes in, “This is the kind of film that 3D is made for.”
And it`s clear that, despite all the hard work, it hasn`t turned Abrams off from doing huge blockbuster sci-fi movies. He refers to Into Darkness as “the most fun and challenging experience I`ve had since everything I`ve ever done [put] in one room”… and the man has signed on to direct the first Star Wars movie, due in cinemas in 2015.
