Rigor Mortis – Review

Our twisted yarn begins when a depressed actor (Chin Siu-ho) moves into a dilapidated apartment and immediately tries to off himself, without even having the courtesy to tidy up the place. He`s inexplicably saved by Uncle Yau (Antony Chan Yau), who owns a food stall by day and does some Taoist exorcism on the side when the mood strikes him. Apparently, our depressed leading man`s new home is also the abode of two sisterly spooks. In fact, the whole friggin` block is populated with ghosts, black magic and sinister occurrences.

Strangely enough, for its rather crowded population of bogeymen, Rigor Mortis isn`t all that terrifying of a horror film. That`s not to say that it`s a bad movie, but the blasÃ
