R.I.P. Joan Rivers (1933 – 2014)

The multi-talented and out-spoken entertainer has logged in an impressive five decades in show business and gave rise to her signature red carpet query, “Who are you wearing?”

Born in Brooklyn in 1933, Rivers began her career as a stand-up comic in New York City in the early 1960s, which led to regular appearances and guest hosting duties on numerous variety and entertainment shows like The Carol Burnett Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show and Hollywood Squares. She went on to become the first female to front her own talk show in The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers, and even won a Daytime Emmy for The Joan Rivers Show, which she hosted for five years.

Rivers has also directed one film, the 1978 comedy Rabbit Test, which was the cinematic debut of fellow comedian Billy Crystal. Rivers has also appeared in several movies like Look Who’s Talking, The Swimmer, and Spaceballs.

She will be missed…
