Unlike your typical action and comedy films, Midnight Runners isn’t just all fighting and gags – it hinges on well-crafted characters to tell a meaningful story that viewers will care about.

Focus – Review

'Focus' very effectively seduces the audience, beckoning them into a dizzying, dazzling world of lies and shiny objects.
'The Girl with All the Gifts' is sensitively performed and has enough stomach-turning viscera to appease gore-hounds, but is marred by a sluggish middle act and an unsatisfying ending.

Insanity (暴疯语)

The most memorable film to have come out of Hong Kong in a long while, and certainly the best psycho-thriller in recent memory.
Despite a story that most kids might find challenging to connect to and a dearth of memorable set pieces, there’s enough amiable sweetness to Cars 3, making it a marked improvement on its immediate predecessor.

Wild Oats – Review

The movie equivalent of that doddering grandaunt who goes off on rambling tangents, but who’s so sweet you don’t have the heart to tell her to stop.
The Adventurers has charismatic leads, gorgeous European locations and strong production values, but its ho-hum caper plot and lack of distinctive action sequences keep it from being Grade A escapism.
A high-spirited biopic that packs in the laughs and thrills, American Made doesn’t delve deeply enough into the political intrigue to be very substantive, but it’s an entertaining, well-made Tom Cruise vehicle all the same.
While it’s fashioned as an awards season crowd-pleaser, the importance of 'Hidden Figures' can’t be denied. More than just a history lesson, this film is genuinely inspiring and its message is as pertinent as ever.
Carried by a propulsive momentum and packed with meticulously-assembled thrills, going Rogue has never been this entertaining.
