Like its protagonist, animated horror-comedy Paranorman is pretty strange, to say the least. The stop-motion animation style could be perceived as either unique or unaesthetic, the story veers from sympathetic to satirical, and the entire film has a cobbled-together feel to it, reminiscent of its zombie subject matter… somehow, this still translates to a decent film.
United International Pictures, who's distributing ParaNorman, has released the latest trailer of the quirky animation about a boy who has a special gift - he can see dead people. The comedy thriller opens in Singapore on August 30.
