At the premiere of Brad Pitt's World War Z in London on June 2nd, all eyes were perhaps on Pitt's partner, Angelina Jolie, who made her first public appearance since her much reported double mastectomy in February. Check out our gallery, and a clip of the premiere below.
Disney has released the first shot of a green-eyed and horned Angelina Jolie in Maleficent, together with an announcement that principal photography has begun on the film. For those who don't know what the hell the movie is all about, here's the short synopsis: “This is the untold story of Disney’s most beloved villain, Maleficent, from the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty. The film reveals the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora." Directed by two-time Oscar®-winning production designer Robert Stromberg in his directorial debut, the film also stars Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.
If you get Angelina Jolie involved in a creative project, chances are she's either going to gravitate towards a theme on love enmeshed in geopolitics, or adopt you. True to form, Ms Jolie's directorial debut centres around a war-torn romance during the Bosnian War…we still aren't sure how many of her cast members she's adopted though.
