His other non-X-Men movie hits include Van Helsing, The Prestige, Swordfish, Someone Like You and Australia. The Aussie is popular not just for his movies but also for being a notable singer, dancer and actor both on stage and in musicals – he even won a Tony Award for his portrayal of the 1970s singer-songwriter Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz. First things first, do we really need another Johnny English movie? After all, the 2003 spy-thriller spoof didn't do too well in in the States, taking in only a paltry US$28 million out of a US$40 million production budget. But look at the bigger picture and things seem rosier, thanks to fans of the fumbling Mr. Bean. With a worldwide gross of over US$160 million, the honchos at Universal Pictures will surely not let this potential franchise cow go so easily, choosing milk over the slaughter house.
