#45 (Oct 2013)

Being movie geeks running a movie magazine, one of the questions we get asked most often is: “So, what’s a good movie to watch this weekend?”

Pretty often, we’ll get scolded by close friends for giving them a bad recommendation, and from acquaintances… well, we’re not quite sure ’cause we never hear from them again.

Well, there’s a saying that another man’s meat is another man’s poison, and we can’t agree more. But, really, the devil at work here is expectations. We learn it’s better to undersell than to oversell. In that spirit: Gravity is a bad film, don’t watch it!

While we’re at it, let’s see if our under-selling skills will work for another ‘bad’ movie. The very average-looking Chris Hemsworth is on our cover. Wasn’t that him on our cover too last month? Yes, he was, as some race-car driver. But that was so last month. Seriously, after that boring chat we had with Hemsworth in London, we totally decided that Thor: The Dark World is going to be another bad film, so don’t watch it either!!

Of course, we`ve also taken the liberty of listing close to 50 movies in this issue that you might want to avoid this month too. Have a miserable time reading about them… and all the boring interviews too.

We shall not see you at the movies then!
