Lena Headey and Rodrigo Santoro reprise their respective roles as Queen Gorgo and Xerxes alongside series newcomers Eva Green who`ll be Persian queen Artemisia and Sullivan Stapleton as general Themistocles. Directed by Noam Murro, the sequel is written by Zack Snyder (who`s also the producer) and Kurt Johnstad, and is based on Frank Miller`s graphic novel Xerxes.
Release date for the film has been pushed to March 2014.
